Haviland’s home in Grand Rapids, MI boasts one of the NASF’s most active branches. Haviland proudly supports all of the local events, and is a significant contributor to the national branch as well. Our contributions go far beyond simple attendance and monetary support. Haviland’s technical staff are frequent speakers at the local meetings and volunteer their time in service to the NASF as board members and event volunteers.
Graham Torr, Haviland’s Sales Manager just completed his second year as President of the Grand Rapids Branch in 2011. He now serves as the educational chairperson. John Bereza, Marketing Manager for Haviland serves as Second Vice President.
Haviland and the NASF would like to thank everyone for participating in the 2011 NASF Championship in Grand Rapids, MI. Despite inclimate weather, the Grand Rapids Branch set another earnings record for this year's event. The 2011 scramble at Thornapple Pointe broke the $4,000 earnings mark for the first time in it's history, eclipsing last year's record total by just over $200.

Sur/Fin 2011 was an overwhelming success. Building on the energy of 2010's show, this year's return to Chicago brought in some of the biggest crowds in years. Haviland's next big surface finishing show will be ABRATS in Brazil next spring.
