Haviland has MidWest Geothermal seeing Geo-Green
Scott Skoog has invested in a fleet of drilling rigs, an array of earth-moving equipment and a dedicated staff that is encouraged to develop new processes and techniques for this relatively new industry. Much of Midwest’s equipment is custom made, and many of their processes are well-kept internally developed trade secrets. One of those proprietary processes is Geo-Green.
Geo-Green was custom-formulated for Midwest Geothermal by Haviland Products Company after Midwest Geothermal struggled to find a product that met their standard for both price and quality. Haviland was brought in to develop and manufacture an earth-friendly heat transfer fluid that allows Midwest Geothermal to have an entirely turn-key operation, thus lowering their operating cost, and offering significant savings vs their competition.
Midwest Geothermal is becoming a leading producer of Geothermal Systems throughout the United States. Geothermal Systems are becoming a critical component in the effort to make buildings more environmentally friendly. As more and more projects strive to attain LEED certification, energy efficiency becomes more and more important. One of the biggest energy users in a building can be the heating and cooling system. Well-designed Geothermal Systems can represent a huge energy cost savings and can earn many LEED points for a project. LEED Energy and Atmosphere Credit 1, Optimize Energy Performance, is worth 1 to 10 points for 10.5% to 42% energy cost savings. Our on-staff LEED Accredited Professional helps us to design the most energy efficient Geothermal Systems to maximize energy cost savings.
