Lean, Chempax, SurFin and growth highlight a a busy 2010 for Haviland Enterprises, Inc.
LEAN
Haviland’s Lean Manufacturing program kicked off in late 2009, with intitial teams being formed, and Lean principals being installed in several key departments. Lean has already created greater efficiency in our customer service and inventory departments, and there are even greater expectations for our manufacturing, sales and traffic departments.
The Lean Manufacturing program, once fully implemented, will result in Haviland becoming more responsive,efficient and a sustainable supplier to our customers. Haviland will continue to look for the most innovative practices to continue a 76 year track-record of growth.
Chempax
This Spring, Haviland will begin install a customized ERP software system to better serve the needs of our customers. The switch to Chempax/CS will usher in a new era of chemical management, integrated on-line services and instant inventory, purchasing and sales integration- basically, we can run our business better and faster.
SurFin
The biggest show in Surface Finishing comes to the home of Haviland Products. DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, MI will host the 3 day NASF show from June 14-16. Haviland will be your host for the NASF Golf Championship on June 14. We will also be the primary sponsor for the Grand Rapids Branch NASF’s reception on Tuesday, June 15. Don’t forget to see Haviland up close and personal on Wednesday, June 16. The Haviland Open-house will highlight 76 years of chemical distribution and manufacturing growth. This will be a rare opportunity to see Haviland’s other companies; Haviland Consumer Products, a world leader in Pool & Spa Treatment, Haviland Contoured Plastics, specializing in spiral wound and blow-molded hoses and assemblies, and Haviland Contract Manufacturing, our private-labeling and contract packaging division.
Growth
2010 will not only be a big year for change at Haviland, it will be a big year for growth. New distribution partnerships and a wide-ranging expansion of our surface finishing product lines are on tap for for our industrial product division.
2010 will also introduce Haviland Consumer Product’s 6th complete Pool and Spa Care product line. Look for a new Pool and Spa Product Guide, launching winter, 2010 at havilandusa.com.
